Patti Madden

Founder and Co-Owner

Patti co-founded PacStates Communications in 1986. At the beginning, she was primarily responsible for the warehouse, inventory and dispatch. Since then, Patti has been closely involved in every aspect of the business. While her responsibilities as owner extend across the entire company, Patti focuses much of her attention on the creation and delivery of unsurpassed customer service.

Michael Buis

Michael has been with PacStates since 1991 and brings over 34 years of telecommunications experience to his role as chief executive officer and managing partner. He became responsible for the company’s administration, operations and sales as CEO since 2006 after working in a sales position with the company for more than twenty-five years.

Mike Metzger

Mike works with the PacStates sales and operations teams to ensure an unsurpassed customer experience. He joined the company in 2009, bringing deep experience in the development and management of sales and operations teams for a major technology manufacturer and as a partner in an office equipment dealership. Mike has been active in the community through Kiwanis, NCET, WIN and NNDA.

Bryan Carothers

Operations Manager

Bryan has been an integral part of our technical team since 1989, and became PacStates’ Operations Manager in 2016. He has over thirty years’ industry experience and is responsible for providing unmatched customer service.

Jon Myers

Account Executive

Jon relies on more than two decades of experience as he assists clients to determine the best possible solutions for their data and telecommunications needs. Jon then works closely with the PacStates engineering staff to design, implement and support the delivery of excellent solutions. Before joining PacStates in 2009, Jon was self-employed in the printer and copy business. Jon and his wife Shelly of 30+ years have 5 grown child.

Ryan Monaghan

Project Design Manager

Ryan works closely with clients to deliver top-quality solutions on VoIP, key system, PBX and fiber-optic, and cabling projects. He joined PacStates in 1999 and worked as a senior technician before assuming sales responsibilities. Ryan earned an associate’s degree in electronics from Truckee Meadows Community College, where he also worked as an instructor’s assistant.

Dave Fahrney

With more than 40 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Dave is the resident expert at PacStates in handling clients’ needs for integrated voice and data infrastructure.

His philosophy is straightforward: The customer’s needs are primary. Meet or beat time constraints. Ensure that all jobs are done well. Before joining PacStates, Dave was in business for himself.

Nancy Radford

Lead Project Manager/Customer Service Representative

Nancy started her extensive telecom carrier in 1980 working for Rolm and IBM. With 35 + years in business, she joined PacStates in 1996 and is responsible for project management, end-user interface, training of customer end users and administrators, and global customer care follow-up.

Cynthia White

Dispatch – the voice of PacStates

Cynthia White brings more than 13 years of customer experience to her role as dispatch manager at PacStates. She is responsible for managing incoming client calls and coordinating with technical staff to ensure clients and new customers receive prompt and quality service.

Joseph Stewart

Joseph brings extensive and deep experience to his role as customer service representative and trainer for client end-users and administrators. His years of technical training experience prepares him to excel. Joseph worked three years for Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center IT before joining PacStates.

Reed Card

Forever Team Member: Happily retired

Reed specializes in programming and installation of NEC, and legacy systems. A member of the PacStates team since 2005, Reed has served in the telecommunications industry since 1990. His previous experience includes work as a manager and technician with Unicom Communications. He mentors staff and is an integral part of the support team.

Jay Suda

Senior Cable/Fiber-Certified Technician

Jay specializes in and is lead technician for installation of cable, fiber and equipment-room infrastructure. He has worked for PacStates since 2005 and has more than 26 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before he joined PacStates, Jay was the owner of an electrical company.

Colette Cooke

Office Manager/Accountant

Colette, joined PacStates in 2011and is responsible for the company’s accounting functions, payroll and human resources. A native of Northern Nevada, Colette earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has more than 25 years’ experience in accounting, data and financial analysis, payroll and human resource management.

Catherine provides invaluable assistance to the administration of PacStates and ensures that records are readily available so that the company can quickly meet the needs of its customers. She has worked with PacStates since 2005. Previously, she held positions with Washoe Medical Center and Sierra Kids.

Chrissie Lyon

Project Manager/Telco Coordinator

Chrissie brings wide experience to her role as Telco administrator for PacStates since 2009. She is a consistent liaison between the client, Carrier Services, and telco providers. Prior to PacStates she worked 30 years with Nevada Bell, SBC and retired from AT&T, part of UCaaS.

With over 20 years’ experience in IT and most recently 3 years running a local MSP (Managed IT Service Provider). Ryan’s unique and diverse skills are a boon for all whom he works with.

Sarrah Bridge

Telecom Therapist

As your dedicated Telecom Therapist, Sarrah will utilize her 14+ years of telco experience (8 with AT&T in Reno) to guide you through your UCaaS and Telco experiences from quoting to installation and beyond. Her focus is to be proactive, act as a liaison between you and the carrier, and help keep the project(s) on track while reducing the stress and anxiety associated with changing voice and/or internet providers.

Michael Buis, Jr.

Warehouse and Procurement Manager

Michael returned to PacStates in 2022. He serves as the warehouse and procurement manager ensuring purchasing and supply accuracy. Michael left PacStates to finish his college degree and to gain a little more experience he worked as the night lead at BakeMart determining delivery routes, ticketing, and invoicing.

Noah Fujii

IT Support Technician

Noah came to PacStates just under a year. He is an IT support technician specializing in managed services, computer/networking support, and programming. Noah recently graduated from the Reno Technology academy and worked for Wireless Advocates, Inc. prior to coming to PacStates.

Scott Casbarro

Scott has been with PacStates for 25 years. He is invaluable to the company and serves as one of our lead technicians specializing in implementing and troubleshooting for both phone systems and IT services (server management, networks, etc.)

Daniel Erickson

30 years of installing and testing; telecommunications systems, building control systems, lighting systems, fire systems, alarm systems, access control systems, anti-theft systems, and surveillance systems.
